Growing up in Korea and graduating summa cum laude in political science from Duksung Women’s University in 2001, she came to the United States with a clear plan — but life had other ideas. Marriage, three children, years supporting a family business, and decades navigating the realities of immigrant life reshaped that plan entirely.

For nearly 25 years, she has lived the Korean-American immigrant experience from the inside: managing paperwork for a family gas station, working in beauty and restaurant businesses, raising children, and completing graduate studies — often all at once. Through those years, she experienced firsthand what it means to work tirelessly without a clear financial direction.

That perspective changed when she discovered the U.S. financial services industry and realized something unsettling: despite working harder than almost anyone she knew, she had very little structured to show for it. Looking around her community, she saw the same pattern — disciplined, entrepreneurial families building businesses and raising children without the financial foundation needed to protect or pass on what they had built.

That realization became her mission.
She began her professional career with New York Life and, after a challenging first year, went on to achieve consecutive Leaders recognition, earn the Annuity Elite Award, and become both an MDRT and AARP member. She later joined MassMutual, where she continues as a member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). while serving clients as a practicing advisor.

Her work focuses on protection planning, retirement preparedness, and long-term financial security — with particular attention to the Korean-American community, where language barriers and cultural nuances can leave even successful families without the coverage and protection they need.

She believes the first generation’s sacrifice should become the next generation’s foundation. Her goal is simple: to ensure that what families have built does not disappear with them.
